ARTICLE XI - AUXILIARY GROUPS

 

1.           Evangelical Mennonite Youth Fellowship

              Young people who are in grades 7-12 are eligible for membership in this organization.  It shall be composed of two groups, those who are seventh and eight     

               grades (Junior EMYF) and those in high school (Senior EMYF).  An adult sponsor or sponsors shall be appointed annually by the Christian Education board for

               the Junior EMYF and the Senior EMYF.  It shall be the purpose of this organization to provide opportunities for worship, religious education, fellowship and

               service for all its members.

 

2.           Choir

              The choir shall be composed of any volunteers from the congregation who are in harmony with the spirit and purpose of the choir.  The choir shall elect annually

               a president, secretary and a director at a time to be established by the choir.  It shall be the purpose of the choir to sing at regular and special services and to

               perform such other ministries as deemed appropriate by the choir officers and the music committee.

 

3.           Women In Ministry

              This group shall be composed of all interested ladies of the Sunday School and church.  They shall annually elect their officers.  It shall be the purpose of this

              organization to encourage spiritual and social fellowship, to pray for missions, to participate in missionary projects, to share in E.M.C. Women's Ministry and

              other appropriate services.  This group will serve under the deacon board.

 

4.           Men's Fellowship

              This group shall be composed of all interested men of the Sunday School and church.  The  group shall annually elect its officers.  The purpose of this

              organization is for spiritual and social fellowship, to carry out the men's program of the Conference and to serve as an evangelistic arm of the church.  The

              Men's fellowship will serve under the deacon board.

Each auxiliary group may adopt any necessary bylaws which do not conflict with the local or Conference constitution and bylaws.  Other auxiliary groups may be organized if the consent of the church council is granted.
