ARTICLE XIII - VOTING, ELECTION, PROCEDURES
1. No business meeting of the church shall be conducted unless a quorum is present.
2. A quorum shall consist of one-half of the voting membership.
3. Members who qualify under Article V, 4, A, are eligible to vote.
4. A two-thirds majority of the votes cast shall be required for the election of a pastor or deacons. Others need only a majority.
5. General business items will need a majority vote unless the voting body decides to require a larger majority.
6. Any voting member, when authorized, may cast a proxy ballot except in the election of a pastor, deacon and any change to the bylaws. An absentee ballot will
be available when requested.
7. Any new business that any member wishes to be considered by the congregation shall be presented first in writing to the church council. The council shall
consider carefully such items and take proper action. If an item is considered of sufficient import it shall be presented by the council to the congregation.
8. All church officers, department superintendents and auxiliary group presidents shall be members in good standing of the church.
9. Additional nominations for any church office, with the exception of deacon, may be made from the floor.
